ABOUT

Foreword

The information presented here will be updated as time permits. In works of this nature, errors may occur. We seek the indulgence of the reader for any involuntary errors. If you have any additions or corrections please email us. The discovery of additional descendants, historical, and family history are our primary goals. After countless hours of arduous genealogical research, we are pleased to present this genealogy. This work is in no way complete, at this stage it is merely a succinct genealogical account of a work in progress.

This electronic version of the genealogy, will be published in a book form once all the information on the recent generations has been collected. The tentative publication dated is slated for the Summer of 2002, to coincide with the family reunion. We are seeking your assistance in trying to complete this project, your contributions of information are very valuable.

Thank you for visiting this web site, your web site!.

Dr. Federico Carlos Alvarez Morales and

Louis Paiewonsky

(Louis is currently completing genealogical research and also acting as the webmaster and for this website. Federico Carlos is orchestrating the book project and directing the efforts for the family reunion. This project is the culmination of their years of genealogical research. Both are very busy indeed!)

About the Family Roots

This web site presents the genealogy of the family of Gral. Carlos Felipe Morales Languasco (1868-1914), President of the Dominican Republic (1903-1906). It starts with Jean Robet Robaine and Dominga Rabainne (ca.1748-1850), great-grandparents of the President. It also includes Antonio Morales (ca.1775-1833) and Maria "Marie" Brito (1790-1830) of Canary Islands, Spain. They were the parents of Agustin "Augustin" Morales Brito (1806-1869), paternal grandfather of President Morales Languasco. This Agustin "Augustin" was born in Lanzarote, Canary Islands and emigrated to Saint Thomas, Danish West Indies, with his parents and a brother named Ramon Morales Brito.
